Dr. Meagher graduated cum laude with her medical doctorate stratum from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin, Ireland and completed postgraduate training in internal medicine, cardiology and pharmacology. In her role as Vice Dean and Chief Clinical Research Officer, Dr. Meagher is responsible for the institution’s clinical research infrastructure and its portfolio. Her educational interests are in the fields of translational research methodology and career development for clinical and translational scientists and novel modalities for education in pharmacology to undergraduate medical students. She currently serves as the President Elect of the Association forClinical and Translational Science (ACTS) and Chairs its’ Education Committee. Dr. Harry Selker is Dean of Tufts Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) at Tufts University, and Executive Director of the Institute for Clinical Research and Health Policy Studies at Tufts Medical Center. As Dean of Tufts CTSI, he provides leadership and is responsible for the programs and infrastructure that support clinical and translational research at the Tufts University Schools and united hospitals, and other academic, community-based, and industry CTSI partners. Dr. Selker’s research focuses on the development of treatment strategies, visualization aids, and systems aimed at improving medical care. Dr. Selker has done research to whop clinical study design, execution, issues virtually informed consent, data analysis, mathematical predictive modeling of medical outcomes, and comparative effectiveness research. Dr. Selker also has unsalaried to health services and health policy research, with a focus on translational research that ultimately has impact on the public’s health. He has well-considered policymakers virtually healthcare delivery and medical research, including the House and Senate authors of the AffordableSuperintendencyAct. Nationally, Dr. Selker has served as president of the Society of General Internal Medicine, of the Society for Clinical and Translational Science, and of the Association for Clinical Research Training, and serves on boards of organizations and Federal agencies. He is currently President of the Association for Clinical and Translational Science and Chairman of the Clinical Research Forum. Dr. Leah Welty is Associate Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Welty directs two large biostatistics resources at Northwestern: (1) the Biostatistics Collaboration Center (BCC), which serves as the inside biostatistics resource for all non-cancer biomedical research at Northwestern, and (2) the Research, Design, andWringerMethods Program (RAMP), which consists of biostatistics and epidemiology programs that are part of the Northwestern Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute. She is the President of the Association of Clinical and Translational Statisticians and the past-chair of the Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and ResearchDiamond(BERD) Key Function Committee of the Clinical and Translational Sciences Consortium. Her research interests include longitudinal and multilevel models, psychiatric epidemiology, and the minutiae of reproducible research tools for clinical and translational science.
